Opening Letter

Hello everyone, if anyone is out there.

I've started a blog in the interest of open discussion. If somehow I can contribute to someone's understanding of the world or challenge them to better understand it for themselves, or if someone can do the same for me, then I think it will have been a worthwhile venture.

I welcome all comments so long as they have some serious thought behind them. No one is wrong, we are all learning.

Lets see what we can teach each other.

  • Thanks for your comments over at XDA. I had not read Katz (at least not in a while) but I will follow your link and get back to you here. And the answer to your question is, yes, there are people out there and they sometimes will read what you write.

  • OK, skimmed Katz again (a case I think took a wrong turn in 4th amendment evolution--but one I can live with) and it's a wholly criminal case completely inside the United States with no national security implications. So I don't find it very helpful here.
I disagree about Gangs Of New York and Tommy Boy but liked the other movies you mentioned. When did you get out of UC Davis and what are you doing in Prague?

  • Ill take a look at Katz again and get back to you with my commments. I think this issue is worth taking an extra deep look into.
Gangs of New York was great until the end, I just liked the story and how they tied so many of the original charachters from the book into the story. Tommy Boy is just funny. Oh well.
Graduated davis in 95. I run a glass export business here about an hour from Prague. Long story.

  • Hi praguetwin,

Just thought I`d drop in to say hello.
Looks like you are going to have a really good discussion site here.
I have bookmarked it, and will be back!
Might be an idea to put word verification on your site though, when the spammer robots find sites without it, they bombard it on a daily basis after that.
I reluctantly added word verification to my site, I held out as long as possible, but I got fed up deleting half a dozen ads a day!
    Take care, see you soon,

    Zep.

  • Zeppelina,

Thanks for stopping by. I honestly thought it would take months before anyone would even notice the site, but I guess that shows how nieve I am about these things.

I checked out your site a while back and I think it is very cool and original. Corsets are great.

Hope to hear from you, and thanks for the advice,

    Michael
