I read that some Chinese prognosticators were saying they thought this was going to be a particularly ominous year. I hope that's not the case. Anyway, happy year of the pig everyone.
I read that being born in a pig year would make you lucky. I also read that Sen. Hillary Clinton was born in a pig year. Since I'm not a Hillary fan I'm getting an uneasy feeling about this.
I live in Singapore and for the 4th time have survived Chinese New Years. It gets really expensive, especially just after Xmas, to have to pass out Ang Pows to all the kiddies. But the food is great. Even got in a few games of Majong this year.

Year of the Pig, and I hear that this is supposed to be an especially lucky one.

Yes it is supposed to be especially lucky according to tradition. It is the year of the "Golden Pig" which is only every 5 cycles or 60 years.
RBE,
I hadn't heard that. I hope they are wrong.... but when you think about Iran....

I'm not a big fan either. I guess she is pretty lucky so far, if you think about it.
