Moussaoui Gets Life
I am really glad they didn't kill him. Although the jury said they did not fear him becoming a martyr for the radical Islamic movement, I sure did.

I was really really really hoping he'd be getting repeatedly violated, and eventually killed in jail. Unfortunately, the little bastard will be in solitary confinement 23 hours a day for the rest of his life. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll find a way to off himself in there tout suite. :-)

23 hours solitary??? – hell – that’s better than the death penalty! Megalomaniac like that is going to go insane in 3 weeks!

arch stanton - thanks! Shooters unite! Or something... LOL
Yeah, that's what I heard on the radio this morning. 23 hours in solitary. I'm hoping he goes so crazy, he rips the arteries in his wrists with his fingernails and bleeds to death.
Or that some forgetful guard somehow neglects to lock his door accidentally and sets a psychotic murderer loose in his cell... a la Geoffrey Dahmer.
Man! I'm just in bitch mode today! LOL

23 hours in solitary for the rest of his life was the best punishment I can think of. The fuck wanted to be a martyr, why help him out?

I was kind of hoping he'd get sodomized to death by a large violent felon named Bubba...
But I'm sick like that! :-D

Revenge is ok for a fantasy, but not for real life.

What can I say? You all are right with me.
I had no idea that he would get 23 hours a day solitary. Like every single one of you say, this guy is now totally fucked (excuse my saxon). He wanted the death penalty and he didn't get it. Oh boo hoo! May he rot in intermitable hell for as long as possible.
Tonight we were talking about Moussaoui being interviewed 50 years from now and reflecting that he had been misled.
Let's just hope that this comes to pass. This case study, should it pan out the way I hope, will expose fanaticism as the dead end street that it is.
I can not express how extremely relieved I am that he was not put to death and therby immortalized as a matyr.
First definition of matyr..
One who chooses to suffer death rather than renounce religious principles.
Ahhh, and he almost got his wish. Even though the jury explicitly said that they were not afraid of this result, had he been executed, it would have been a victory for the modern day "Brer Rabbit", Mr. Moussaui.
His exultation regarding the verdict can only be described as false bravado.
Right wingers take note: this was the moment when you realized the limitations of the efficacy of the death penalty.
I am not a religious man, but thank God for this verdict.
P.S. I deleted the comment because I forget the "L" in 'exultation'.
Sad but true.
